Generally the smaller the muffler the louder the noise. Most mufflers can be purchased, on average, for around $100.00 plus whatever an exhaust shop would charge to put in on.

No, you don't have the TRD exhaust. The TRD is a dual exhaust and a $1000.+ option when purchasing the truck new. In a way, you would think that the TRD exhaust would be part of the TRD Option package but it's not.

A poor college student with a brand new full size truck?
I did the same thing that i was talking about before to a HEMI a couple years ago and it made it throatier. It sounded real good. I just wanted to make sure i wouldnt lose any torque cause I love the way this truck pulls. I think im gonna do it cause I hate the look of the stock exhaust tip.

Yes, I am a poor college student. I'm a Petroleum Engineering student at Texas aTm. My mom and dad promised their kids that if we proved that we can make good grades in high school and move on to college they would buy us our first vehicle. I proved so and have made A's through two years of College Engineering.... so they rewarded me. and yes I know, Im very blessed to have my parents.
