Default Re: E7006 won't work with JBL???

I suspect that the 04 JBL amp is not digital. Would be rather easy for you to confirm, just try the new E7006 in the 07 Seq. Really should take you maybe 30 minutes to swap. At least it would confirm the new E7006 is working ok.

The 04's in the Toyota line was a mixed bag. In the Tundra's, they were analog amps. In the vans, they where digital amps but voice did not work properly with the early JBL amps and had to get upgraded or use another work around to get it right. Just not sure about the Seq. Hopes this helps. Let us know if you do the swap and what the results are.

So well, in fact, I bought ANOTHER E7006 for my 2004 Sequoia (yep, we have 2) which also has JBL, and wired in the Bec 106.

"BZZZZZZZZZZZZ" Is all I hear, unless I turn the radio on, in which case i hear "BOOOOOOM" or if I tune in a station, it is cranked up to 100%. Backup camera not working in reverse. Double checked all connections, all seems 0k.

Whats going on here? The seller seems trustworthy, but I will play musical chairs with the E7006's if I have time and the weather co operates.

Any suggestions? If anyone local to Boston figures this out for me, I will buy you a case of your favorite beer for Christmas!
