Default Re: 4x4 TUNDRA MPG

I just turned 500 miles today and was getting about 13.5. It was about 11-12 for the first tank and has been going up since then. I've heard of guys with these trucks getting up to 16.5. I have a 07 DC limited 4X4 and plan on adding an AFE intake, DC headers, and a cat back exhaust. Not sure about the exhaust yet but I would like to have a chambered muffler and an H-pipe. I was also thinking about an underdrive pulley and throttle body spacer. I just want to find a TB spacer that doesn't whistle. Also, in regards to the pulley, I don't recommend under driving the alternator but in Alaska I don't even need my A/C. This is all less stress on your engine and improved efficiency thus, more power and mileage. Also, weight and gears and aerodynamics play a part but I don't think you want to go that far. If so, PM me and I'll see if I can help.

I'd be happy if I get 16 with these mods but I'm also doing it for the power. Hey, it beats the 10mpg I got in my last truck.
