In fact I was feeling a bit guilty about going out of the county and all with buying my truck. Not extra guilty, but I'm thinking that instead of going to the tire rack and buying the tires for $230 a piece (and the hassle of going to pick them up at the border and all that) I'll spend my money locally.
So I went to the local tire shop and ordered the BFGs. I guess he hasn't installed 18" tires, but with these 18s and 20 around he's looking to buy a new machine. He's a good guy and I've had stuff done there before; he knows about TMPS, so even though I wasn't SAVING $ I was actually paying like about $150.00 more it was making me feel Christmas-y. Well you know the rest, now I have the inconvenience of going to the big city for tire change-out that I thought I could avoid, at least one benefit of shopping locally.

Anyway, I wasn't being cheap. But sometimes trying to support your local economy backfires
