There will be a slight performance difference due to retaining the exhaust heat. The main reason we push the ceramic is the underhood heat reduction. There is so many sensors and electrical components that need to get shielded from high temps. The ceramics will also prohibit rust, and corrosion where as chrome does a mediocre job doing so. It is still much better than 409 stainless or painted but not nearly as well as ceramic. Plus ceramic has a much longer life expectancy and retains its looks. No additional hardware is required and these ar ea direct bolt-on system.
