The early 70's Land Cruiser's that could conquer any kind of off road terrain did 0 - 60 MPH in 19.5 seconds according to a 1972 Consumer Reports road test - about the same as a VW Bug of that era.

My point is an off road vehicle doesn't need alot of power to go anywhere.
