Hello everyone,
I would like to collect some data regarding the latest brake TSB. I would like to know if the job was done to your satisfaction and how has this new caliper been working out for you. Theres been a lot of concerns about a-arm damage (collected from comments on this thread:
http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...6949#post86949) due to Toyota service techs' lack of knowledge on proper procedures and neglect to using the correct tool to do the job right w/o damaging the above mentioned component (even my girlfriend knows about this tool, here dad is a garage mechanic). I even saw this first hand when they busted the ball joint on one of the arms on my friend's Tundra and tried to blame it on the person that installed the suspension modification. I am about to get this TSB done and I would like to be able to take this survey on hard-copy form to show to their service writer prior to letting them perform the TSB so that they are aware of this common bad practice and that hopefully would prompt them to do the job right. We should never have to remedy anything that they've screwed up on and require that these irresponsible service techs be accounted for their poor services.
I'll start the list with:
Findlay Toyota, Las Vegas Nevada. Damage: stripped left a-arm ball joint.
Foreclosin, you may add to this if you see this thread.
