Here's what a McGaughys rep told me:
They had the same thing happen to their test Tundra where the rear wheels proturded unevenly on each side. The wheel size, offset, and tire width can make these differences more exagerated with the 2/4 drop. They are trying to figure out a way to compensate for this problem when they introduce their 4/6 drop. Bottom line: it's the truck, not the drop kit. Problem resolved -- time to order fender flares to disguise the wheel protrusion.
BTW: McGaughys handle this very professionally.
