I have recently read some bit of new info on tundraheadquarters on the insufficient effectiveness of the pad on poor stretches of concrete freeways (from someone who tried the pad solution) and the fact that the pad gradually loses its effectiveness over time due to loss of spring action (from the guy who started this "cure" posting) and it has left me quite discouraged. You see, I just received my ‘pad’ from
amazon yesterday and had planned on putting it to use this weekend. Now I don’t know if it’s really worth the trouble. But, given my curious nature, I will try it anyway and take the truck on stretches of the 210 freeway (in SoCal) where I “know” the truck shakes/bounces/vibrates to the point where I think it’s gonna come apart. I’ll report back afterward. BTW, has anyone tried these?
https://www.sulastic.com/default.aspx (watch the comparison video). There are also some videos on Youtube showing the functionality. Don't know if it will solve the ‘bed bounce’ issue, but it looks like it might help with some of the vibration. Also, I've sent in my complaint (via email) to Toyota, submitted the same complaint on the safecar.gov website and took the 'bed bounce' survey on toyotahq. I suggest that everyone who is experiencing this problem notify (through email or phone) as many sources as possible to hopefully expedite a resolution from Toyota.
