Toyota Japan is not in keeping with Toyota Global And Toyota USA.
The manuals and literature are diseminated from Japan where most of the engineering and design takes place.
By the time it is digested here in the US
it is a confusing mess.....even to Toyota USA Reps. in Torrence, Cali.
I guarantee that yu will get different answers from different Toyota Reps. from different Toyota regions. Seen this again and again.
Been there, done that.
BTW, it is actually easier to produce a 0W20 in synthetic form than using Dino. From a base stock perspective.
