Default Re: Driveline vibration.

I just had my 07 Tundra DC 4wd in for the 2nd oil change and at 6750 miles. I too have noticed a shudder when accelerating from a stop. This is a similar sensation to when the clutch packs in the differential of an explorer I had were goind. The dealership told me that he was able to feel the vibration. He said he spent 30 minutes on the phone with Toyota. They said they are aware of the problem, but do not know how to fix it. He said they feel it is with the angle of the drive shaft causing a "binding" at the U joint. Also they "don't know" if this is going to cause the U joints to fail early and that this will most likely be a recall issue to shim the driveshaft to adjust the angle.
