they are right, you are supposed to do a zero point calibration on the VSC, because of the sensors...should only take the dealer about 10 -15 minutes, but the alignment should be done first and can be done anywhere

Thanks this what I suspected. I will go back and talk to the local shop and see if they will still go it.
