I have a question/observation:
- If this is as common a problem with the model (and it seems to be also in the 08's) what is Toyota doing about it? It would appear to be an common, obvious design/manufacture flaw. For the amount of money we spend on a Tundra (I'm guessing between 35K - 45K, depending on model and options), IMHO, I have to ask myself why the hell are we having to do jury-rigging to correct the problem?

You don't have to rig anything take it to you local dealer and let them have it for a couple of days ( like my dealership wanted it they said 2-4 days to take apart drive around and the such ) Me i would rather spend a few minutes to a few hours fixing myself than a couple days with them ) Besides if you are even a little mech . inclined you will take better care of your truck then the average youngin at the dealer...Just my 02cents...
