Default Re: DIY: All NAV Functions All The Time without Firmware Downgrade!

well sorry to clog the thread but I have a switch question too. I bought a SPST, single pole single throw switch instead of a single pole double throw switch and I'm wondering if I can just add it to the power wire for the speed pulse generator.

I understand how the double throw toggle is meant to work in wilee's instructions, but I don't know if the speed pulse generator box will transmit the stock signal to the nav unit if I remove power from the switched 12v source wire on the fly and then just add it by turning my SPST switch back on when I need it.

any help?

never mind, looked at the wiring again and went to get the spdt toggle
