I'm just posting to give yet another
for this device.
I installed it with black plastic toggle like this:
and cut it into one of the three unused plastic block off plugs on my console. The ones that fill the holes left for future or optional switch positions. I can take a picture of the actual install if anyone is interested but it works perfectly and being able to toggle it on and off makes it so the nav can be fully accurate for terminal guidance commands and last minute stuff. Very cool. oh and the 2004 Gen 3 4Runner Nav had the same speed sensor wire as the write up wilee did, but it was purple with a red stripe.
