Default Re: Off road light wiring help!!!

I'm going by the colors in the KC website diagram I posted. I highly suggest using a multimeter or at least a test light.

Run the green wire through a grommet on the firewall, more details here: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...l-for-dummies/

If you want to be able to switch on the lights basically any time, connect white to the cigarette lighter's positive wire. Switch on only when the parking or headlights are on,connect white to the lighter's illumination positive wire instead. This is where a multimeter or testlight is needed.

Brown is a ground,self-explanatory.

Most people mount switches in the area where the stock foglight switch is located. Search around, you should find posts and pics. Here's a recent thread Switching to Missiles

The relay mounts in the engine bay. There are several threaded holes all over, most of them use a 6mm x 1.0 bolt, Go to a car parts store or home improvement store and get some of those bolts to mount the relay and for grounds. You may need to open up the relay's mounting tab hole.

85,86,87,and 30 are the terminals of the relay. Turn it upside down and you should see the numbers. Connect the wires to the terminals according to the KC diagram. Black is a ground,so is the other wire connected to each light. Yellow connects to the battery's positive terminal. Do not install the fuse until everything is wired properly.
