Default Re: 2001 Tundra Brake Problems

There was a TSB (technical service bulletin) from Toyota on this.
All the dealers know about it and if they're reputable, they'll let you know
about it. I had the same problem on my 2001 access cab SR5. I was still
under warranty, so the dealership replaced the original calipers with larger
ones, changed my warped rotors, and added new pads. Evidently, the
original calipers were too small for the Tundra. I think they corrected the
problem on the 2003 and up. Maybe if you put up a stink, they'll do the
TSB. I would consider it a safety issue, but I don't think it was a government
recall. Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!
