I thought those two blank black things next to the dash dimmer come out. the switch sticks out and is not back in there flush with the dash. if you think its something i can fix or not let me know otherwise i am taking it back to them and see what can be done. I could have done wired the lights in the engine bay but getting them in the cabin was kinda scary for me. I just didnt want to mess anything else up.

The two blanks do come out but, the inside not the outside. You'll have to remove the lower trim in order to access. Here's how my switches look
