Default AFE Intake Installed

Well I finally got my intake from SoCal Motorsports and installed it two nights ago on my RCSB. Now all I need is my Banks Monster Exhaust to be delivered.

The AFE Intake is a very nice kit and I could feel better throttle response via my buttdyno. Not as impressive as installing an intake on a turbo'd motor, but nice sound none the less. I did have a few problems with the install though.

1. The threads for brass hose connector where not correct and ended up stripping when I went to install the connector. I just re-threaded it and installed a new connector for the hose.

2. The aluminum cover on the filter did not align properly. Don't know how to fix this as it looks like it is due to shrinking of the plastic. (Please see photos for the gaps) I am going to forward these photos to AFE and see what they have to say.

3. The hole on the upper right side of the intake box was also not threaded properly. I cleaned the threads and opened em up a little and the bolt finally went in with no trouble.
