There is a heat problem in the CHMSL. Have a look at the chrome plastic reflector and you may find it has warped / burned from the heat. Perhaps there is a heat related problem with the socket which hold the bulb? I would check the fuse first, then use a voltmeter to see if you are getting 12V at the base of the socket.
