Wow - sorry to hear about all the hassles with the dealership and the techs!
I have an '06 convertible as well, but I think most of my own mods have caused more rattles and other noise than I might ever hear in the windows should they start to act up.
Keep us posted on your progress... if you don't get satisfaction, there always Toyota Regional who you can file a complaint with to get things fixed right!
