its the best approach angle u can get because the factory frame rails sit that low and i jsut went as low to protect them..it weighs only about a 150-200 lbs... i can pick it up myself but takes to to install cuz i the odd shape...the d rings come out and and can be put on the back.. i built it like that for work,to slide in a pipe rack i was gonan build and the 2 1" holes are for a stableizer arm for the pipe rack... and i can put a winch in the front or rear... and for the design ..i jsut went wiht what looked good with the trucks natural bodylines which ended up almost teh same shape as the factory bumer minus the 2 peice style..
