I have an '06 convertible as well, but I think most of my own mods have caused more rattles and other noise than I might ever hear in the windows should they start to act up.

Keep us posted on your progress... if you don't get satisfaction, there always Toyota Regional who you can file a complaint with to get things fixed right!
Progress was zero. The Toyota Regional Technical Field Specialist (I think that's how they referred to him at the dealership) essentially said that "it's a convertible and they all make noises like that."

Convertibles are all I've owned in the last six years, the Solara's my third since '02. One of the previous convertibles was a Toyota, the other was a Beetle. Both were noisier than a hard top, but neither had anything that was almost constant.

I can call Toyota Customer Service and see what they say - I'm not expecting that they'll do anything since their field rep declared that this type of rattle is something they all do -
