I don't mean to hurt someone's sensitive feelings...but I think it is important for people to notice the cost cutting going on at Toyota. I have never seen Toyota be the subject to such critisism like they have going on now.
edmunds complains of the interiors..the camry feels a little cheap, so does the highlander. The new Sequioa interior material is just damn aweful...especially with the very poor designed door panels, spray painted dash and then lack of seat anchor covers on a $60k SUV.

Many people give a hoot because with Toyota the Refinement on Navi is not there period

I have to agree with Tundrayv8amaha. Toyota USA clearly has sold out to growth and sales over quality and refinement... I have no doubt that the USA Toyota are as well built as the Japanese Toyota's but there is an abvious design difference between the two. The Sequioa is clearly after sales.
I remember a time when Toyota would sacrifice certain feature for better build quality and refinement and it cleary there on the 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser. Sure there are no cooling seats, trick suspension or this. But 4 zone climate, 28 vents, a very well integrated Nav system is all there.
The first gen Tundra/Seqiuoa were cleary Japanese designed with emphasis on quality and refinement over features and ammentities. Not so with this Sequoia....total USA design...are Americans/Canadians that dumb to not notice cost cutting.
Did I mention the Camry v6 was removed from Consumer Reports reccomended list..
