When the headlights are enabled that should open the ground disabling the DRL function and have the signal lights operate normally. I just want to make sure I'm thinking correctly.

Thanks for figuring this out.

Marsh54 where are you!
Hi Marsh,

Sorry for the delay in replying. I was out of town.

You can get by with one relay as pin 30 is in effect already connected to ground.

That said, I can tell you how to do it with no relays too, but both present a problem that is not “Factory Like”. One relay or no relay will turn the DRLs “On” when the ignition key is on. This is good.

But….

Neither of these means (one relay or no relay) will turn the DRL “Off” when the headlights are on. If you don’t mind having the DRLs “ON” when your headlights are on then you can give it try.

To do it with NO Relays, simply cut the gray wire going to pin #5 on J29 and connect it directly to ground. Tape off the other side of this cut wire.

Now when Ignition key is “On”, DRL will be on. They just won't shut off when the headlights are on. (You still need to install the DRL Relay)

Hope this helps you out my friend.

Have a great night,

Frank
