I also have a 2004 and had the EXACT same problem 1 1/2 years ago. Went to my local dealer, they were VERY nice and ordered a new radio...it did take 3 weeks to arrive although the warned me it would be that long up front.
Everything was fine till yesterday. The radio died again. I've owned my car for 2years and 10 months, and as Murphy's Law would have it, I am 600 miles past the warranty. I'm getting ready to call Toyota right now....am very disappointed!
Do you happen to know where you Sienna was manufactured. Just wondering if some of us got a bad "lot" so to speak.

I too am having a radio problem. Its on a 2004 Sienna. Just started today.
I read the previous posts so I am not too hopeful of an easy (cheap) solution. Here is the problem:
My wife always uses the CD player. Today she inserted a CD and it wouldn't play. She tried to eject... no use. I looked at it and there was no display, the cd wouldn't eject, and the radio wouldn't work, though music (not cd) was playing, wouldn't scan/seek, etc. I pulled the 3 fuses to no avail, even pulled the battery (needed cleaning anyway) and when I reinstalled the music that had played earlier had stopped.
Any thoughts/ideas appreciated.
