Well I think you are correct.
We have non ethanol fuel at our local gas station, so I believe that helps.
Very few street lights also.
I should note that I have used 4wd ALOT as we have been burried in snow since I purchased it.
I think to keep the fuel - air mixture the same the computer leans the mix to compensate for less air. This would result in lower hp too, of course.
This combined with less drag from thinner air may be the reason.

Anyhow the Sequoia is awesome up here. Between it and the legacy we have no problem getting around.
