They have to build so many at one time and if there isn't enough interest then it won't be profitable, they can't make them for free and the more they sell the cheaper they can set the price. This will be a completely bolt on set up, the only thing the end user may want to get is a set of OEM exhaust manifold gaskets, Usually Toyota's OEM gaskets are better than the aftermarket stuff.

It is set to come with, headers, 1 pair of cats either welded up or flange bolt-ons, gaskets for exhaust manifold and 2 bolt flange to meet up with the muffler pipes, hardware for installation, and extensions for O2 sensors. They will likely provide hardware for the install of the headers to the manifold but depending if they are like the gen 1s with the studs and compression nuts it may be best to use the OEM equipment on this as well since they are aluminum heads and a stainless bolt could strip the thread right out if they are tightend too tight.

They have concerns though being stainless steel by itself isn't cheap and the tooling it requires to make headers and collectors wears out faster than if doing mild steel so there is a higher expense for stainless.

Basically they just want to make sure it is worth it.

They have built headers for the Gen 1 Tundra and it wasn't Kook's Headers.

They will not be CARB legal. They won't do the CARB testing.
