Thanks limitedtundra,

Saw your post and decided to try again to stop the noise. I had messed around before in that area pushing the plastic but this time I spent a bit more time and pushed a bit harder. Lo and behold the noise disappeared. I wonder how long the noise will stop but for right now I am happy. At a minimum, we now know where the problem is. I had spent enough time under the dash trying to find the source of the noise.

Just a quick followup: The next morning the noise was back and I had to push in the area again....Hopefully the problem does not re-occur on a daily basis......
