Default Re: Putting money down, need opinion on red rock and dual exhaust

1. Does red rock really look good in person? I've seen pictures, but never seen it in person.
Looks are going to based on opinion, so it will difficult to know who's opinion corresponds with yours. That being said, I bought it because I like the baseball glove leather look...even though it is slightly oranger than 'baseball'. I too primarily had black interiors prior to this one.

2. The Tundra that the dealer has is equipped with the TRD dual exhaust (what a waste of $1k). Is it a mistake to buy a Tundra with this exhaust on it? Is it going to make the truck any louder?
I am confused about your questions, since you state "what a waste of $1k". If you feel this way then don't even consider the purchase. The dealer had to locate my truck, which did not have the exhaust. However, I had them include the exhaust into the deal (and I did not pay the $1k MSRP either) and installed it myself. I did not purchase the exhaust for any supposed HP benefits, as I am realistic in knowing (based on many years in the performance car segment) there will only be a few HP points increased from a free-flow exhaust, since it the OE was designed for the OE intake and fuel provisions. I bought it for quality construction, good looks, and an appealing sound. Make sure you actually drive a OE exhaust and TRD exhaust Tundra (with the size engine you are buying) BEFORE making a firm decision. I love the mild exhaust note when driving normally and the Nascar similarity when I stomp it. To me it doesn't have the obnoxious raspiness that other aftermarket exhausts typically do. However, to each his/her own.
