Re: Rides Like a BRAND NEW Truck!
Not trying to uncover a conspiracy here, I was told when I talked with him that this was his design and is having deaver build it. Deaver changes their #s based on new designs. He also told me that they were putting his part # on it. When infact that is a Deaver part # and has been deavers # since 2000 model year. Just driving down to test fit at deaver is not prototyping a spring. Deaver doesn't even build their own springs. Triangle does, now I will conceed that they may have made a change to an existing product which is fine, but say so, don't try to tell me that this is "based on my design and specs" when it is just seeing if the truck will accept the existing product or that we made some changes to the springs they already make.
I just get uncomfortable when I get two different pieces of information. This is all.
I am playing devils advocate here. I was told one thing over the phone and even posted up good things, was a little unimpressed that he didn't call me back like he said he would, but he was busy and I let it go. But, if I get information saying one thing and then I find out information showing me something else, I get a little suspiscious. I don't care if it's a mom and pop shop or not, information needs to be the same.
It's not even a case of whether or not the previous Tundra parts work or not, its that I was told that it's a new design and to a certain specification, when the photo tells a completely different story.
I also could care less about his pricing. I'm not saying it's high, it's just that the part # is the same and that makes it a little questionable. I didn't even say that he was overcharging or even mention anything about the price so why is that even being brought up?
I was also unimpressed with some of the things that were said to me over the phone about other manufactuers, this is something I find very tacky and as a professional nothing should be said about another company if it is bad things.
So I bid good luck to PRG with their products and to you guys with your Deavers. Imdone
