That little 1.5 is working. We have a Scion Xa with the same driveline. It gets kinda raspy when you step on it.
The transmission has WS (World Standard) fluid and is not due a check or service for 100,000 miles. Yes, that is one hundred thousand miles. All new Toyota vehicles, with automatic transmissions, are being built this way.
