The dealer holdback, as I understand it, is an amount they will eventually get from the manufacturer -- they're charging it to you so that they get the money now, but they will never send you the money. That's one bad deal. . . You could sit down with the salesman and ask him to clarify this, how can they justify "making up" extra charges?
