Not entirely true. It all depends on what type of supercharger. Roots type wont give you the same kinda of low end torque that a well sized turbo or positive displacement s/c will give you.

True, my mistake. It's a roots-type, but if the results are similar to the 1GR version, you'll have command of about 90% of your torque by 1800 rpm
(dyno chart I saw from customtacos... I don't remember which dyno it was run on though)
