the stock brackets were way too flimsy IMHO, so i found some angled brackets laying around the shop to use:



i forgot what size drills i used, i can get that tomorrow if anyone needs it.


i cut and ground the brackets to fit better. this pic is after i sandblasted them to prep them for black oxide:





here's everything installed, brackets blackened, and wires zip tied to secure them:
