I've done and still doing my research and I am confused as to which I want to get because of the reviews.

It's between the Airaid and Volant but here's the deal.
Airaid: Most say it's a little too loud for their liking, not as much or no hp / mpg added, bad design because of the simple shield (engine air is blocked my the rubber gasket when hood is closed), but at the same time - good quality of materials. And does it still whistle? Does anyone have it on an 08 Tundra 5.7?
Volant: It's quiet but loud enough when opened up @ high rpm, no noticable difference in mpg compared to stock (perhaps box design?), made of poor quality materials (just repeating previous reviews).
My main thing is how others review the intakes as little to no gains (according to their butt dyno) compared to their stock. I had an AEM intake system in my 4Runner and noticed the throttle response is better and so assumed that it had more hp.
A lot of these are reviewed from consumers who put the intake in their 07 Tundra. With a year difference for the 08, has Airaid figured out and fixed the whistling noise? Has Volant sealed the gap between the box and the fender?
My other main thing is I don't want to spend $250 or $370 for these intake systems if it'll do the same thing as a K&N drop in filter ($50).
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Help me make up my mind. (I'm also affraid that the Airaid might be too loud... but if it's the same as the AEM, then it should be fine for me.)
