Default Re: 03 tranny flush?

well hey thanx alot for that bit of info.In all my searchings and researching i havent read that.Well that answered one of my biggest ?s.My fluid is not burnt smelling or brown in color and there is no metal on the dipstick (there probly wouldnt be anyways due to the magnets in the pan) therefore i figure a fluid change with royal puprple fluid would probly be a good idea. Now i have 2 more qestions that didnt answer, Were is the trans filter located in the 03 tundra? and would the diy trans flush be a good idea or shuld i find one of these machines? I dont like relieing on others to do my work even though there are some tasks that must be outsourced. I would rather keep 1 to 2qts of old fluid in my trans and inspect the rest myself and fill the rest my self useing the method in the diy section. But if this will so more harm to the trans then i will try to locate one of those machines.Thanx for all the info and probly next weekend when my g/f starts driving her other car is when i will go for it, the if anything goes wrong or need parts i can take hers to work in the morn. Will be a good time to put the lift on that has been sitting in there. lol thanx again for the info from everyone

OOps looks like i answered my own qestion about the filter.
