Default Weird noise under hood left side of hood

Hi all,

I have a 03 Sequoia with about 120k on it. For the last few months, I get a strange, tink like noise coming from the left side of the engine compartment.

The noise only occurs under acceleration. If I am "coasting" it's not there. If I am increasing speed, or maintaining speed climbing a hill, the noise is there.

It also is slightly RPM dependent, so that when the tranny shifts, and the RPMs decrease, the noise decreases slightly.

If the car is parked and idling, and I listen under the hood, I can't hear the noise. I also tried revving the engine and that didn't reproduce the sound. It only occurs under load.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Boris
