Also most after market intakes advertise a hp increase but what they don't say in the ads is it is peak hp at a certain rpm range. Most people don't drive around in that range anyway. I can't remember the range of the Airaid but it is up in the 4000 range. That is where most engines really start to open up. I like it and when I need it it prerforms nicely. The butt dyno says there is an increase but it is in the upper rpm's.
671 I hope you don't mind me piggie backing on your post. I was chosing between AIRAID and aFe. With the information from this post and some information from mine I have chosen to go with the AIRAID also. los211, at what throttle range does the whistle occur. I read on on another post that it was around 3K RPM. Is that accurate?
