with 16 gauge, don't go over 6 feet of wire length. i'd suggest that anyone doing this use 12-14 gauge wire. i used 12, but after replacing so many headlight wiring harnesses and other burnt wiring for idiots who bring their cars/trucks to my buddy's shop, i never skimp on wiring.
