Default Re: Kenwood DNX8120 Review

Regarding the Blue Tooth in these units, it appears to be Parrot technology based on the box graphics. How do people you are talking to indicate you sound? My wife and father have both said the sound on the blue tooth of my pioneer fh-p8000bt sounds like crap. My wife went so far as to say if anyone else had called her with a phone/BT like that she would be pissed.

I've tried moving microphone placement, wire routing, heat shrinking tubing, playing with echo cancellations, reconnecting the phone pairing, etc. Nothing makes the poor sound quality for the other end improve. I can hear them just fine, but they indicate I sound like I'm in a scratchy tunnel with lots of reverb and the sound is broken and patchy. I've given up on making this one work, and am curious if the Kenwood one works better out of the box.
