Default Re: Air Intake Confussion...

I tried something different when I installed my air dam. Instead of mounting the bottom plate ontop of the lip I mounted them it on the bottom. It gives you about a 1/8 of inch gap in three spots on the air dam but not enough to make allow in a bunch of heat (I ran a remote thermometer into the air chamber area and it was only 6 degrees hotter than what my outside air temp was reading). Get this though. NO WHISTLE!!!!!!!! I do get a sound in the morning when it's cooler but it's more of a sucking sound like if you bite your bottom lip and breath in real fast but that's it. I since everything seemed alright and I don't have a whistle I didn't change the bottom to the way it was supose to be. So now I ask is the whistle comning from the air intake and just happen to get one that doesn't whistle or is it coming from air being sucked in from the bottom of the air dam?????
