Default Re: Satellite Radio Question

I did quite a bit of looking prior to purchasing my Sequoia and did not find any with it as a factory installed option. I had it installed by the dealer and did not specify where I wanted them to put the antenna. They put it right in front of the left side roof rack and ran the wire inside the black rubber trim just above the driver door. The antenna is about 1.25" x .75". It's hardly noticeable, and I have had no problems with reception. I think if you put it somewhere inside the passenger compartment (dashboard, windshield) at some point you are going to have issues with the roof of the vehicle blocking reception. This is from my experience using the portable XM in the car and putting the antenna on the dash. It worked OK but there was some loss of reception, where I have had none with the current setup on the Sequoia.
