As usual, I have procrastinated to the point where I now have to make a compromise and need some advice.

I washed, clayed and waxed my '03 (Dark grey - forget the fancy name) a couple of weeks ago and was pretty pleased with the result. I used gold class wash, clay magic clay and Turtle Wax Ice paste as the wax. While the results were good, I would like to see if I can get a better result by substituting Duragloss 105 for the ice. My test subject was going to be our '07 Sienna (white pearl).

Here's where things get tricky. I can't find the 105 anywhere. The local CarQuest has many other DG products (including 101 and AquaWax, the wash, etc) but no 105. I can order the 105 online, but obviously could not have it for use this weekend, when I happen to have some free time to use it. After this weekend, it might be a while before I have a good sized chunk of free time to devote to the vehicles.

So here's my dilemma: Do I hold out for the 105, or is one of the DG products available (like perhaps the 101) close enough to the 105 that I should just buy it and go for it this weekend? Or am I better off to wait and order some 105 online?

Also, I skipped the polish step when I did my Tundra because the paint seemed to be in such great condition after claying. Was this a mistake? Would it make a huge difference in the result? I'm just trying to quantify things here to decide how much time to spend. For instance, if polishing would improve my result by say 10% but increase the time spent by 50%, I would probably choose to do something else with my time.

Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.
