Default Re: Upgrade your early Tundra Brakes In 1 hour

Mike,

I just replaced the front brake system on my 2001 Tundra yesterday, per your original post instructions. Everything went very smoothly, so thanks to you for your thorough directions. I have only one caveat: after bleeding the lines, my brake pedal now seems quite a bit "softer" than before. My truck stops fine, I just have to push the pedal further down than before to engage the brakes. Did you have any trouble with this? I re-bled the lines 2 additional times to make sure there was no air in them, but still have the "soft" brake pedal.

A buddy of mine who helped surmised it might have to do with the master cylinder? But we were both guessing.

Thanks, Miles
