Aftermarket ProductsDiscussions about aftermarket products and accessories.
This is a discussion thread titled "Recommend rubber floor mats please...", within the Aftermarket Products forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
I thought I bookmarked the page, but I can't find it regarding the contoured rubber floor mats for the new Tundra. Weatherguard is one brand I believe, but another TS member posted info on another brand too. TIA!
A little pricey!
I spent $20 for rubber mats at Costco.
Yeah, but the difference is that they cover all of the floor. I had some like ones mentioned (only in an F150) through 4 snow mobile, hunting and fishing seasons. Pulled them out, and the carpet was PERFECT. on the other side my normal rubber floor mats in my previous truck were good, but left dirt and crap around the mat. Where these type drain the stuff over the rocker panel.
Only really needed if you get them dirty. If you drive the truck too and from an office job with little rain, weather or mud/dirt. you can get away with the others as long as you clean around them once and a while.
It depends on what you plan to do in your truck. I use my truck for hunting and fishing and I am constantly in mud or water. The Husky liners have a nice lip on them that I believe, don't hold me to this, will actually hold a gallon or so of water. I have had them in 4 trucks now. I tried the weathertech in my last truck and was a little disappointed. The husky's work great and keep the carpet looking brand new. They hold mud and water very well.
But it comes down to how you are going to use your truck. If you are not going to have muddy feet or wet waders in the truck then I would guess just about any type of rubber mat would work.
