Default Truxedo Lo-Pro?

How tight is tight on the cover? This is my first roll top and the installation guide doesn't say "how" tight it should be.

Thanks

I have mine on that I guess you should be able to bounce a quarter on it. You will notice it most when you are driving as the wind downforce will push to cover to a point where you can see the cross bars. I do know that too tight and the cover might not lock down properly too. I have had the cover open a couple of times from it being too tight and it popping open a little at the first bump on the road. Remember, that you need to adjust the cover based upon the weather also since vinyl will strecth when subjected to higher heat from sun exposure.
Good luck

I see the last cross bar at highway speeds, and it's pretty tight to close. I guess we'll see.

Thanjs

I have the Truxport By Truxedo and it's one fine cover. It's as tight as a drum.

I'll tighten it up some more, see if it will ride without seeing the last bow.

I just put on a LO PRO QT this morning and had the same question. I ask the guys at GoldCrown Accessories and they said that it should have just a little bounce to it. I never adjusted it from out of the box!

Mine is nice and snug. You can adjust the screw in front. They say in the directions about 1/16 play between stopper and large screw. When it hot outside, open your tailgate and slide in with a flashlight and check spacing by moving the header to see how much play you have. Kinda a pain in the azz but necessary once in a while to help with longevity of the tonneau cover. Side tension is easy with the velcro. On the highway I can easily see 2 bars on mine @ 60 mph.

Hope this helped some....
