Default Bassani vs. Flowmaster

Just an observation I had the Flowmaster dual kit with a JBA y-pipe and the factory resonator removed since the Flowmaster kit comes with a resonator. It was relatively loud (the wife did not care for it) but mellow and sounded good in my opinion, not like straight pipe or glass packs. I also had the 18" stainless straight cut rolled lip tips, 3" outlet and were the Summit Racing brand. They were nice tips, kinda hated to see those go.
Just finished installing Bassani's dual in dual out stainless system with the X-muffler, very nice. The instructions leave a bit to the imagination but it is a well made kit and went on easily, very nice quality.
The sound is not as loud, which I was not expecting, but deeper. Very nice and I am extremely pleased. Part number is 4710025, my 2002 only has 40k on it and I am sure the exhaust will last forever now. I did not realize that Tundras came with stainless exhaust and I took that off for Flowmaster's aluminized kit, the tailpipes and hangers were pretty rusted for only three years of use!
The Bassani is pleasing to the ear not offensive and according to their website TRD did a study of aftermarket exhaust kits and the Bassani produced twice the horsepower of any other, thought they did not say which kit, Bassani makes several.

Default Re: Bassani vs. Flowmaster

Also the low end is back, had to get the RPM's up for the power to really kick in not so now. Very nice kit, very impressed.
