123Gone.... my dealer just quoted me an additional $265- on top of the original $420 quote for Line-x Xtra w/ color match.... does this seem unreasonable?

Yes, that's reasonable. That's $35 higher than my regular retail price and $65 higher than what I charge TS.com members. Keep in mind that prices vary per dealer and per the area of the country. The east and west coasts are most likely higher just like everything else.
EDIT: That's reasonable for a color match with Xtra except for white and yellow, we charge more for those colors because they are more difficult.
Thanks 123Gone.... looks like no color match for me The wife will kill me if the price goes from $420 to $685

Well, how about black with black Xtra? It will be less, see what they charge for that.
Speaking of yellow, we just finished applying yellow LINE-X Xtra to the interior and to the (rather odd) roll bar of this Jeep. The color looks so good, you can hardly tell from the pics that there's LINE-X in there, but there is!
I had a Wrangler and had it Line-Xed too. I always wished I had the bars done at the same time, but maybe that was because the Line-X was black and the bars were red...
The goal of scuffing the bed is create a rough surface so the product can grab onto something. It can't grab onto a surface that's as smooth as glass. In the scuffing process, there might areas here and there where the paint is totally taken off. Keep in mind that the paint is not of uniform thickness either.
I just had mine done yesterday in Indy (Line-X of Indy). The only problem I have was the kid removed the access panel bolts on the tailgate and the rubber plugs in the front of the bed, but the kid didn't remove the bed bolts; he line-xed right over them. The rear 4 bolts are uniform, but the front ones you can see the angle he was shooting from. I just thought they normally remove the bolts (but he told me he was going to Line-X over the rubber plugs, which I asked for him to remove). I'll post pics of it once I get home and can take some pics (I'm at my parents house right now), 123Gone, could you tell me if this is normal?I do like that they are covered, for rust protection, but I'm sure it'll be a complete PITA if I ever need to remove the bolts/bed. Overall, though, I'm very happy with the final product.

Either way is fine, really. Some dealers do not like to remove Toyota's bed bolts because the metal is rather soft and the threads are very thin and short. A few years ago, we did strip a few Toyota bed bolts, but we don't anymore.
Here are the pics from my Line-X job. The lower pic is a pic of the front bolt. Here's what I was talking about where you can see the angle where he sprayed.
Oh well, besides that small flaw, I'm very happy with it He ended up spraying it thicker than he should have, or so he said.
