Someone else was offering re-grinds in various numbers. I did some dyno sims of the new cams and they didn't do much for the money unless you had forced induction.
Bottom line is that there are no "low hanging fruit" on the 4.7 (and probably on the 5.7). Four cams would cost you way over $1,000 (if you installed them yourself) and would net you maybe 20 HP, maybe...If you search, you might find the numbers I posted.
Dang it really blows that they are hard to come by, and if you are telling the truth about only 20 hp, that def. isnt worth the money. Thanks
The way to use the cams is with a turbo , supercharger, or when stroking the motor.
Order up a TTC Performance Stroker Kit

That IS a lot of cash for 20hp. If you put a super charger on a 4.7 and put in the performance cams. Is there a computer tuner available for these engines? I gotta do some motor work soon. What would get me the most hp gain for the least money? Any help would be appreciated.
hey Dan I'll Talk to you at sema this is Dan with the charger and tundra I talked to JBA for you I just haven't gotten back to you
I cant Wait! looking forward to meeting you too. Great dyno results . So I guess the headers are a good investment. I will have my cell on the whole time. Me,Scott, and Cam will be tearing it up at the mgm after hours.
